Cyclists Cafes Avant Garden Centre on the A49 Leyland, north of Pack Saddle Bridge. Warm and inviting with high quality home cooking. Open Monday-Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10-3.30. Cyclists very welcome probably because we drink loads of tea! Delph Dive Center a few miles away. Very popular with local cyclist since the Twin Lakes cafe closed this year. Rather than describe how to get there just follow this link. Vaughns Cafe at Tockholes just before the village when approaching from Belmont. good place to start and finish a ride. They now have a website which can be found at www.vaughnscountrycafe.co.uk Toasted teacakes and a pot of tea £1.75....need I say more! The Riverbank Tearooms in Slaidburn near Clitheroe does an excellent egg & bacon buttie. It has a good selection of cakes and sandwiches and still sells proper tea in mugs! If you fancy some off roading in Gisburn Forest its your nearest option. Tastebuds at Mere Brow near Southport, another small cafe with good food in a handy spot. Just mind your head on the beam when using ths toilets! Sadly not open on Sundays. Infusions Coffee. We found this cafe on a ride out over the plains to Ainsdale and not being ones to pass up a new tea stop we investigated. A very good menu, reasonable prices and friendly service. Okay its not the quietist spot being in the middle of Burscough bridge but there doesn't seem to be much out this way.
